Division Purpose
The Produce Inspection Division exists to evaluate fruits, vegetables, herbs, sprouts, and other plant-based foods commonly offered to companion birds.
The Division seeks to provide bird owners with evidence-informed information regarding nutrition, enrichment, safety considerations, species compatibility, and practical feeding applications.
The Division recognizes that nutrition is both science and stewardship.
Our goal is to help bird owners make informed decisions while promoting dietary variety, enrichment, and excellent care.

Not every produce item should receive this award.
